Finding Maps in the Catalog

The State Library of Oregon has a modest collection of modern and historical maps centered on Oregon in both print and digital formats, and including maps produced by Oregon state government and federal agencies. The Library also has a number of Metsker Maps of Oregon counties.

The best way to search our collection for either print or digital maps is to filter your search results by Format and then by Genre or Form, like this:

  1. Enter a search term in the Basic Search field on the catalog page
  2. Select the "Maps" filter and click the "Include" button
  3. Your search results only include maps
  4. Further narrow your search results by selecting "Digital Maps" under Genre or Form and clicking "Include" or "Exclude" as appropriate
  5. Request to view print maps by clicking "Request" or view resulting digital maps on-demand by clicking "View Online"

You may also navigate to our Advanced Search page and choose "Maps" as the desired format.
