Public Library Statistical Report - Instructions, Resources, & FAQs

A guide to help complete the annual Oregon Public Library Statistical Report.

Getting Started

Access the 2018 Oregon Public Library Survey / Statistical Report tool:

http://collectconnect.baker-taylor.com:8080/login.aspx

The online reporting tool has received a much-needed redesign this year! And it is now compatible with most modern browsers, including Google Chrome!

Your library's username and password will be emailed to each public library director in early August 2018. If you've forgotten or misplaced your login and/or password, please email Ross Fuqua.

You do not need to enter all your data all at once. At any point throughout the survey, you can save what you've entered by clicking the SAVE button in the upper right hand corner, log out, and return to it at your convenience. When you log in again, the survey tool should take you back to the last section you visited.

Help/instructions are available for almost every question on the survey. Just click the question mark  next to each data field.

Download a full set of line-by-line instructions below. Alternately, a full set of instructions is available at the Instructions link in the upper right menu of every screen in the survey tool.

Statewide Databases & Library2Go/ODLC Statistics

For questions regarding Statewide Databases....

For Question 6.10 – "Successfully retrieval of electronic information," please add totals from these two reports (Excel files are linked below):

  • Gale Usage Summary (Excel spreadsheet), please use the column titled “Retrievals"
  • LearningExpress Library (Excel spreadsheet), please use the column titled “Total # of Resources”

Note: Libraries that provide access to Gale databases and LearningExpress Library through a central account for their library system should contact their library system administrator for assistance in getting the data for your specific library.

Note: If your library does not appear on the Gale Usage Summary, your library had zero usage.
