August 1 – October 31, 2020 Public Library Annual Statistical Report (PL Stats) open for public libraries
November – December, 2020 Finalizing 2019-2020 Public Library Statistics
2021
March – April, 2021 State Library staff review PL Stats for compliance with administrative rules
June 2021 Report to the State Library Board any libraries out of compliance
July 2021 Start of 2-year clock for libraries out of compliance
August 1 – October 31, 2021 Public Library Annual Statistical Report open for public libraries
November – December, 2021 Finalizing 2020-2021 Public Library Statistics
2022
March – April, 2022 Review PL Stats for compliance with administrative rules
June 2022 Report to the State Library Board any libraries out of compliance and any
previously out of compliance libraries that have achieved compliance.
July 2022 Start of 2nd year out of compliance for July 2021 libraries; 1st year for 2022
libraries out of compliance
August 1 – October 31, 2022 Public Library Annual Statistical Report open for public libraries
November – December, 2022 Finalizing 2021-2022 Public Library Statistics
2023
March – April 2023 Review PL stats for compliance with administrative rules
June 2023 Report to the State Library Board any libraries out of compliance and any
previously out of compliance libraries that have achieved compliance.
July 2023 Two-year mark for July 2021 libraries still out of compliance brought to
State Library Board for termination of official recognition.

Please note that until the State Library Board officially terminates official recognition, out of compliance public libraries are still eligible for all support and benefits (grants, statewide databases, etc.) from the State Library as an officially recognized public library.
