LSTA Advisory Council Member Handbook

Ready reference for the State Library of Oregon's Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) Advisory Council members.

Council Schedule

Meetings are held online unless otherwise noted.

General Schedule

This is for information purposes only, and is subject to change. Final details will be delivered to Council members via email.

  • January: Winter meeting. Welcome new members, review the current budget and a draft of the upcoming budget, and conduct general business. (2-3 hours)
  • March: Review grant applications on own time. (The amount of time this takes varies by the number of applications received, which has ranged from 9 to 27 in past years. Members approximate they can review 2-3 applications per hour.)
  • April: Spring meeting. Discuss grant applications. (Meeting length is dependent on number of grant applications received, and has ranged from 3 to 6 hours.)
  • September: Review grant and program reports on own time. (1-2 hours)
  • October: Fall meeting. Discuss grant and program reports, review the current budget, elect new members and positions, and conduct general business. (2-3 hours)
