Account Registration

Note: Before using Pronunciator, you'll need an active library account with the State Library. If you haven't activated your library account yet, please follow the steps from the Account Activation Process page.

Once you have an active library account, there are three options to access Pronunciator:

Register for an account
Log in with an existing account
Instant (anonymous) access

Register for an Account

This is the option for first time users (first time login).

Go to Pronunciator
Log in with your State Library account
Click on the Register button
Enter your work email address
Your state agency email address – not your personal email address
Choose a password
Click on the Continue button
Pronunciator will automatically launch the language selection page
- I speak: choose the language you speak (home language)
- I want to learn: choose the language you want to learn (learning language)
Pronunciator will send you a "Pronunciator Registration Confirmation" email to confirm your account

This is the option for existing users (continuing logins).

Go to Pronunciator
Log in with your State Library account
Enter your login information:
- Student Name: work email address
- Password: the password you chose when you registered
Click on the Log in button
Choose to:
- Launch Pronunciator: go to the language selection page
  - I speak: choose the language you speak (home language)
  - I want to learn: choose the language you want to learn (learning language)
- My Account: update your email address or password

Instant (Anonymous) Access

This is the option for occasional users (doesn't save your place).

Go to Pronunciator
Log in with your State Library account
Click on the Instant Access button
Pronunciator will automatically launch the language selection page
- I speak: choose the language you speak (home language)
- I want to learn: choose the language you want to learn (learning language)

Reminder: If you choose Instant Access, Pronunciator will not remember your place. Also, it will not track your progress through learning content, if you need to use those results for professional development or continuing education credits.
