Comparison of the Top  Newsletter Services--Features and prices

SendInBlue  offers 9,000 free emails per month — which include access to their email template library, unlimited contacts, and mobile-friendly designs. There are daily sending limits and the SendInBlue logo is visible on all emails. Their micro plan gives users 40,000 emails per month and only costs $7.37 monthly.

MailChimp  free plan includes 2,000 subscribers and up to 12,000 emails a month. MailChimp offers both email templates and the ability to create your emails from scratch. Save emails you create as a new template to use in the future. Other features include a "what you see is what you get" (WYSIWYG) editor, subscriber profiles, third-party integrations, analytics, sending plain text emails, and more. MailChimp is the standard because it is simple to use and gives the essential features needed to manage and grow subscriber lists.

Constant Contact offers a free 60-day plan which includes professional-looking templates, opt-in forms, analytics, and their extensive online library of marketing tips and strategies. This platform is extremely easy to use, with a free 60-day trial period. Cost is $20 a month for 500 contacts

Target Hero The free plan includes 1,000 contacts and unlimited emails. They have a powerful WYSIWYG editor, image hosting, HTML and plain text emails, image hosting, real-time analytics, and just about every feature you could want in email marketing. All these features are free, but for more than 1,000 subscribers, requires an upgrade to a paid account.

Benchmark Email  Free for Life plan allows you to send up to 10,000 emails per month, far more than what some of the other free plans offer. You get access to all features, enabling you to create online surveys, use email templates, and track email statistics. The only problem with Benchmark Email’s plan is that you are only allowed to build your contacts list with users who subscribe through your signup form. If you already have a ready-made list of contacts, it can be a big hassle to get them all to subscribe to your Benchmark Email account.

VerticalResponse  Free plan enables you to send up to 4,000 emails per month and store up to 1,000 contacts. This isn’t as many as MailChimp and Benchmark Email offer, but if you don’t send high volumes of emails, this plan could still be a good fit. You also have the option to connect one Facebook and one Twitter account, which is great if you want to keep up with your contacts on social media.
